In my professional practice, during office consultations, I prioritize ensuring that the patient feels comfortable and at ease. I listen to their complaints, take a comprehensive medical history, and perform a thorough neurological examination. Afterward, I clearly explain the diagnosis as well as the plan for further testing or treatment. Key priorities during the consultation are ensuring the patient feels comfortable and relaxed; I ask them to describe their symptoms to me and take a medical history to get to know the patient better—not merely in the context of their illness, but as a whole person within their family and professional environment. I conduct a careful physical and neurological examination, after which I explain—in simple terms—the clinical diagnosis and the laboratory or radiological tests necessary to confirm it. Once the results of the requested tests are available, during the follow-up consultation, I clearly explain the definitive diagnosis and the medical treatment plan. We are innovating with a new technology—unique in Tijuana—known as Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), used for the treatment of neurological and psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, Parkinson's disease, autism, fibromyalgia, and migraines that are refractory to standard medical treatment.
